5 Easy Steps to Develop and Publish Your Workbook in 60 Days or Less!
Step One: Provide us with your prescriptive nonfiction book manuscript, presentation slides, training materials, or a collection of articles you have authored and our US-based team of writers will create custom prompts for your workbook or guided journal. Prompts may include journaling exercises, questions and answers, checklists, brainstorming exercises, fillable charts and graphs, drawing exercises, goal-setting, goal tracking, self-assessments, quizzes, project planning, timeline scheduling and prioritization exercises.
Step Two: Within two weeks of receipt of your materials, we will provide you with a comprehensive list of workbook prompts to review and edit as you like. We will also develop several custom cover designs based on your preferences. Your cover can be crafted to look similar to your companion book, follow a color scheme that matches your business branding, or you can request a specific image, font treatment or color palatte.
Step Three: After reviewing the prompts and sending your final list back to us, it will be proofread by a professional editor and several sample interior layout designs will be created. You can choose the styles you like best or request modifications. You will also receive book cover concepts to review. After you provide feedback on the workbook pages and covers, we will incorporate your revisions and send files back to you to review.
Step Four: You will receive the full interior layout to review and the revised book cover to approve. How much input will I have on the development of my workbook?
Even though our team handles much of the heavy lifting by crafting workbook prompts, editing the materials, designing the interior layout and the book cover, you are the author and the ultimate decision maker.
Upon receipt of the workbook prompts, you can edit the materials to your satisfaction. You will also share your preferences for the book cover design and the interior layout. Two rounds of revisions are included for both cover design and interior so your satisfaction is ensured.
What are the workbook size and printing options?
Workbooks sizes start at 6×9 and go up to 8.5×11, with additional sizes available in between. The trim size and page count of your workbook will depend on the publishing package you choose. (See below)
Workbook printing is available in coil binding and trade paperback. Workbooks have full color covers and most are printed with a black and white interior, though color interior printing is available with our premium publishing package.
Where are workbooks printed, how much will they cost and how much money will I earn?
We work with several print-on-demand printers including IngramSpark, KDP and Lulu and will discuss options with you to determine the best fit for your needs.
In addition, we help you establish your own publishing accounts with these printers so that you earn 100% of royalties. You can purchase your books at the wholesale price, which averages around $4 to $6 for paperbacks and $8 to $14 for spiral binding, depending on the size of the workbook. As your publisher, we take no additional fees so you earn 100% of your book royalties.
Royalties earned are based on the retail price of your book. As a general rule, Amazon and other retailers take 55% off your cover price and pay you 45%. Then, deduct your print cost and what remains is your royalty earned.
Example: Workbook priced at $25.
Amazon takes 55% and pays you 45%: $11.25
Deduct your print cost: <$5.00>

Can my workbooks be printed at a different printer of my choice?
We are happy to provide completed files for you to print at the printer of your choice. We simply need you to provide us with the printer’s file specifications prior to typesetting your book interior.
What if I have created my own workbook prompts/manuscript. Can you publish my workbook for me?
Yes, we can absolutely design and publish your workbook using your own manuscript. Contact us for a custom quote for services.
Who owns the rights to my workbook content?
As the author, you own 100% of your rights to your work.
Do you use AI to write books?
We do not use, or advocate the use of, AI to write books. We do use AI as a tool for brainstorming topics, outlines, titles, and other ideas. We may use AI to assist with generating ideas for workbook content, but our workbooks are written and edited by publishing industry professionals based in the United States.
