When Authority Publishing founder and CEO Stephanie Chandler was ready to self-publish her first book, she was too busy to locate and hire contractors and manage all the details. And quite frankly, she didn’t want to oversee the details. She needed a one-stop shop where she could be assured her book would be professionally produced while she focused on running her business. To meet this challenge for busy professionals like herself, Authority Publishing was born in 2008.
If you’re too busy to manage the details, you’ve come to the right place. Our professional team will handle the heavy lifting so you can focus on what you do best. Book production typically take around 60 days from the time we receive your manuscript to the time you have a physical proof of your book in hand. This includes proofreading, cover design, typesetting, and ebook formatting.
Though we manage the many details and make suggestions along the way, it is ultimately your book and you maintain total control over the final product. You also retain all of your rights, so if Random House comes calling and offers you millions for the rights to publish your book, we will do a happy dance for you and send you on your way. (Believe it or not, not all custom publishers will do this, even if you’ve paid them for their services. Beware of signing long-term agreements.)
