What is your book about?
An anthology of 40 young adults cancer survivors who were diagnosed between the ages of 15-45.
What inspired you to write your book?
I am one of the 40 cancer survivors. I wanted to be able to give back to the young adult cancer community and this book, with it’s stories of strength, courage and hope is doing exactly that.
Can you describe a typical day in your life?
I am busy working on many projects. I recently became a Certified Empowerment Coach so I am constantly networking as to that business. I host an Internet radio show on Blogtalk Radio called Let’s Talk About It Radio Show with Darren Neuberger. This airs live every Tuesday evening at 6:30 Mountain Time. My Inspirational Speaking business is starting to take off and I’m busy connecting with event planners, corporations and organizations. Stand Up Comedy is something that I dabble in, I did an Amateur night a few months ago and I’m hooked! Getting into shape is high on my list as well so I make sure I work out 3-5/week – that sums up my day.
What do you most enjoy about what you do?
I have the distinct privilege of empowering people as to living their lives to the fullest – with no regrets and I go to sleep every night completely motivated to wake up the next morning and do it all over again. I live a very blessed life. J
Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?
Lance Armstrong’s – It’s Not About The Bike: My journey Back From Cancer.
Can you share some of your best advice for our readers?
Never close you eyes to the opportunities that life presents to us on a daily basis. Find ways to turn negative happening into positive outcomes. Don’t let other people run your life; you are the CEO of your life so do everything that you are passionate about. Finally, the road to a happy, healthy and prosperous life requires you to step forward, one foot at a time – never go backwards, rather stop, re-adjust your inner GPS and proceed forward!
What’s next for you?
I am going to establish seminars geared toward empowering men. It will be a daunting task but something that I have wanted to do for a long time.
How did Authority Publishing help you with your author journey?
They were incredible – always open for business and very helpful from start until finish. You rock Stephanie!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Never give up on the life you truly want to live!
