What is your book about?
Earn It uniquely evaluates romantic relationships using basic business principles and terminology so that women and men can have a shared understanding to maximize their relationships. If men are taking too long to understand the more feminine, emotional world of Venus, helping women understand the more masculine, logical world of Mars will benefit both partners.
What inspired you to write your book?
Having conducted individual and group counseling for nine years, combined with twenty years of medical sales experience, I saw many similarities. After my twenty year marriage resulted in divorce due to un-earning each other’s love, and remarrying after committing to re-earn each other’s love, the principles at work are even more valuable in our relationships at home.
Can you describe a typical day in your life?
I spend most of the day finding new ways to promote Earn It as the world of being an author is new to me, but I’m really enjoying it. My wife and I are also part-owners of a telephone answering service which I work to grow.
What do you most enjoy about what you do?
I love the flexibility and the responsibility–if it is to be it is up to me. Learning new applications after eighteen years in medical sales is rewarding and challenging.
Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?
Stephanie Chandler’s speaking and her books give me confidence and much needed direction. Ken Umbach was the first industry professional to express faith that this book should be commercially published some day. For now, I’m learning about the market and the industry.
Can you share some of your best advice for our readers?
Do your homework to make informed decisions, but make decisions and commit to your project. You can spend a lifetime doing research and not fulfilling your dream. JUMP!
What’s next for you?
I’m working on a Romantic Newsletter that will be comprised of entries in the Romantic Contest at the blog earnitbook.com/blog. The newsletter will be free for at least six months, then have material worthy of people’s hard-earned dollars.
How did Authority Publishing help you with your author journey?
Though I had done a LOT of homework, had the book edited by twelve educated individuals and had developed a logo and cover that I thought represented the content, the professional editor (Amberly) significantly improved the book’s quality and the cover designer (Lewis) created a logo and cover that was more attractive and better represented the contents. These professionals were worth the investment.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I whole-heartedly suggest employing professionals to help your creation be as good as it possibly can before submitting it to the world. Take advantage of your one opportunity to make a positive first impression! Reflect quality, right from the very beginning and you’ll reach your goals even quicker.
